Origin of Newton's Laws

https://science.howstuffworks.com/innovation/scientific-experiments/newton-law-of-motion2.htm

The Greek philosopher Aristotle dominated scientific thought for many years. The first major blow to the ideas of Aristotle came in the sixteenth century when Nicolaus Copernicus published his model of the universe centered on the sun. Galileo Galilei was the next to challenge the ideas of the Greek philosopher. But it was René Descartes, who would add new depth and dimension to the inertial movement. In his "Principles of philosophy", Descartes proposed three laws of nature.

For Newton to establish the three laws of motion he had to go through various processes of different philosophers. And each of these philosophers giving different points of view, discovering these laws and Newton was the one who concluded them.

Newton had to study each of these philosophers in order to conclude all these laws since by the time the last philosopher modified these laws, Newton was a newborn.

Yes, they are useful because they are the easiest and simplest way to explain the movement and describe various aspects with simple formulas.

Recent News from NASA in Space

https://www.livescience.com/63387-ice-on-the-moon.html

It is the first time that ice is found in the surface craters of the moon. This ice was found at the poles and was found more in the south than in the north, the concentration of ice in the south pole was in several craters in the center, while the ice in the north pole in a wider area. Ice on the moon could be an important resource for space travel, the mining of lunar ice and its conversion into fuel.

I think that with this ice you could make discoveries of the lunar composition, I also think that with the Moon Mineralogy Mapper (the instrument that was used to discover the ice) you can make more discoveries in other celestial bodies.
